Skins UK
Most television shows these days are mindless dribble and have no substance. They are not on par/don't represent the complex nature of human relationships only do they exist to entertain people with soft versions of what we want the world to be. I am not saying that Skins, the UK version, is an example of All teenagers and the people around them but this show is raw, real, no thick outer covering disguising what its reasons or topics are. This particular show does revolve around sex and drugs, however, it embraces other show the viewers a more realistic view of the world. Skins not just the former subjects but also sexuality, family relationships, disabilities and more. It takes all the things most shows try to sugar-coat and brings out the primal, unleashed side.

Zoos
Agriculture, agriculture, agriculture, hmmm.
I was listening to a podcast a while ago(I can't remember the channel, name or host) that was hosting a discussion on the pros and cons of zoological parks. The two men on the show were talking about how a chimpanzee was passed around to five different zoos and finally ended up at a roadside zoo, in a concrete pit, hairless and surviving on dog food. Or there is a zoo someplace like Brazil or Argentina where on can ride lions or hand-feed bobcats. What has the world come to, humans demeaning animals as a source of entertainment. Yes it is true that the good care of animals has progressed nicely over the years but there is an endless amount of room for it to get even better.
